POINTS OF INTEREST
- On several occasions, Lancaster was aboard the Olympic together with Robert Hume; then 1st Officer. Hume was Chief Officer on Britannic. Also onboard on several voyages was John Beaumont, surgeon.
- According to surgeon John Beaumont, Lancaster was onboard the Justicia when she was torpedoed.
- Lancaster served with several men who would later be appointed to the Titanic; Captain Smith, Officer Murdoch and purser McElroy to name a few.
